Long been rumored Xiaomi finally officially released the jumbo Mi Max smartphone at an event in China.

Called jumbo because it has a larger size than smartphones in general. The device is equipped with a screen size of 6.44 inches with a resolution of Full HD (1080p).

For comparison, jumbo Apple smartphone, the iPhone 6S Plus "only" has a 5.5 inch screen.

Although it has a jumbo size, the phone is quite mild and not too thick. Mi Max only weighs 203 grams with a thickness of 7.5 millimeters.

Their large size makes Xiaomi freely equip Mi Max with large-sized battery. The device has a battery capacity of 4850 mAh, which is claimed to be able to turn it on for a full day on a single charge.

The battery is also capable of turning on the device for more than 14 hours when used for watching streaming video continuously.

In the rear casing Mi Max perched a 16 megapixel camera. The camera is equipped with phase detection auto focus feature which is believed to be able to lock the focus object shooting quickly.

There are three variants

Xiaomi Mi-Max is available in three variants. As stated in an official statement received Nextren, the difference of the three came from the components on the chipset, internal memory and RAM capacities.

The cheapest variant armed with Qualcomm Snapdragon 650, 3GB of RAM, and 32 GB of internal memory. Mi Max version is priced at 1,499 RMB, or equivalent to Rp 3 million.

Meanwhile, the second version is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 652, 3 GB RAM, and 64 GB of internal memory. These products will be sold at a price of 1,699 RMB, or equivalent to Rp 3.4 million.

The final version wears a similar processor but has a 4 GB RAM and 128 GB of internal memory. The price is the most expensive, but relatively inexpensive to its specifications, namely 1,999 RMB or the equivalent of $ 4 million.

Xiaomi Mi-Max can be purchased in China starting next May 17, 2016. Unfortunately not yet known mobile phone plans available in other countries.

Indonesia may be missed. Given the many devices that have not been sold officially, such as Mi redmi 3 and 5, were first introduced it was not certain when it will enter the country.
